Everything you need to know before you go.
We visited XClube on a couples-only night in February 2026, in Lisbon, Portugal, and it was one of those experiences that starts with mild confusion, quickly turns into curiosity, and then ends with "why is it five in the morning, and can we please do that again."
The arrival
The arrival is slightly chaotic in a have we definitely got the right place kind of way. You are directed to what looks like a quiet multi-storey car park on a fairly unremarkable street. Honestly, if you are new to this world, you might briefly question all your life choices at this point. But then it shifts.
You go through a door, up some stairs, then another turn, and suddenly everything changes. It is like stepping into a completely different film set. The vibe flips from where are we to oh — this is fancy. Well-dressed couples appear almost out of nowhere; there is a red-carpet-style entrance, statues, and security. It immediately feels premium. Very deliberate. Very curated.
First impressions and the welcome tour
Check-in was smooth and surprisingly relaxed. The staff were welcoming and happy to switch to English when needed. As first-timers, we were offered a tour by a staff member who looked, frankly, like she belonged in a music video — very chic, very confident, very calm about the whole thing in a way that immediately puts you at ease.
We were shown the cloakroom first, where everyone is still fully dressed at this stage. That is worth noting: this is not an arrive and immediately strip down environment. It builds gradually. Then the main club space opened up.
"Dress like you are going somewhere you want to be seen. Think sexy, polished, elevated. Not costume — more this is a date night, but make it expensive."
The club space
The main area carries two bars, a large dance floor, cages and poles for dancing, and lounge seating scattered with intention. We arrived around 11:30 p.m., and we were told the night really builds much later. That turned out to be very true.
At this stage, it felt like a glamorous nightclub more than anything else. People chatting, drinking, socialising. There was a strong sense that a lot of guests already knew each other, which gave it a slightly established community feel — not cliquey, exactly, but warm in the way a regular bar can be warm.
The play areas
After the main space, we were shown the play areas, which include:
- Private rooms, some with windows, some fully enclosed
- A mirrored, labyrinth-style area
- A dedicated group play space — two rooms, in fact
- A cinema room
- A wet room with showers
Everything felt clean and well-maintained, with wipes, condoms, and toys readily available. That level of preparedness immediately adds to the sense that this is a space designed for safety as much as exploration. We were then left to explore at our own pace, which felt important. No hovering, no pressure, no sense of being watched or rushed.
How the night builds
By around 1 a.m., the atmosphere shifts noticeably. People begin undressing gradually, music picks up with DJs and performers, and the dance floor becomes much more energetic. What started as a loungey social space slowly turns into something much more openly sensual.
Around 1 to 2 a.m., most guests naturally start moving into the play areas. We tried a private room first — clean, well-stocked, comfortable — and then moved into the group play area, which was honestly one of the most interesting parts of the night. Two large spaces filled with couples and groups, some participating, some watching, and absolutely no pressure to do anything other than what you want.
"You could engage, observe, or just exist in the space without it feeling awkward. That part really stood out."
Drinks, pricing and logistics
Entry was on the higher side, with a portion refundable as bar credit. You're given a swipe card at the door which logs all purchases — you don't need to carry anything around the club, which is exactly the right design choice for a space where most people, eventually, are not in their original outfits.
Drink prices ran roughly €8–15, with a good selection of spirits. One small note: bar staff were less confident in English, but it was never an issue. Pointing and smiling got us very far.
Crowd and atmosphere
The crowd skewed mostly thirties to fifties, with a relaxed but confident energy. It felt more like a social club that becomes sexual later, rather than a purely anonymous environment. Importantly, we did not experience any unwanted advances. Everything felt consensual, respectful, and self-directed. Some couples stayed fully social the entire night; others observed; others participated. All of it was equally accepted.
Final impression
The lights came up at 5 a.m., and it genuinely felt like no time had passed at all — which is usually a sign of a good night out in any context, but especially this one. XClube is a higher-price-point experience, but it matches that with a luxury feel, strong organisation, and a genuinely welcoming structure for first-timers. It is also one of the better entry-level sex club experiences if you are curious but unsure how far you want to go.
Would we go again? Yes. Definitely. Next time we'd arrive a little later, a little bolder, already knowing how easily the night pulls you in — and how quickly you forget what time it is once it does.
- The slow, generous build — no rush, no pressure
- Genuinely welcoming front-of-house, switched to English easily
- Spotlessly clean & well-stocked play areas
- A real sense of community among regulars
- No unwanted advances, all night
- Swipe-card tab — carry nothing
- Higher price point than the average city club
- The arrival is genuinely confusing the first time
- Bar staff English is patchy — not a dealbreaker, but a note
- The night really doesn't begin until 1 a.m.
- Regulars-heavy crowd can feel slightly cliquey at first glance
An unmarked door, roughly here.
For obvious reasons we won't print the address — XClube confirms the exact spot only after vetting. Here's the neighbourhood.
Would we go again? Yes — gladly.
